Coming up on Jamie’s radio show…

Next week, Jamie continues to represent jazz from around the world by showcasing the work of West African musicians Orchestre Poly-Rythmo, a band from the 1960s who have recently reformed to produce a groundbreaking fusion of styles including the voodoo-led traditions of their homeland.
In an interview with radio producer Elodie Maillot, the lady responsible for getting the band back together, we hear the incredible story: from the success of Orchestre Poly-Rythmo during the 1960s when their music formed a soundtrack to the political revolution in Benin; to the reforming of the band and their current projects.
