Friday Roundup: Do you love Tuesdays?

Welcome to Friday Roundup, the best way to catch up with what's been happening on All Things Cullum during the last seven days! In this, the third edition, the highlight for me was Tuesday's jazz show with Jamie. How about you?
  • Date for your diary: November 9th is Jamie Cullum Day! Let's get people talking about Jamie. I'll also be launching a great competition that you won't want to miss
  • What a show this week on BBC Radio 2! My radio was smokin'! If you haven't listened yet, I urge you to do so. No wonder Jamie fans meet up for an hour every Tuesday, look what Jamie dished up! A mind-blowing playlist including Nina Simone, Miles, a great version of Moondance by Bobby McFerrin, a session with the astonishingly brilliant pianist Brad Mehldau and some Gregory Porter! Catch up here
  • Still on the subject of Jamie's show, it's made it across the pond and Canada's premier jazz radio station broadcast it for the first time last Saturday
  • Jamie performed at the relaunch party of the exclusive Met Bar on Park Lane. Photos and review
  • Jamie was featured in an interview with Radio Times
  • Cover girl Sophie Dahl was interviewed by Red Magazine. Check it out for the most beautiful photos
  • Sophie was also at Chorleywood for a book signing. More photos
  • Have you read this week's interview?  The lovely Georgia Mancio is an award winning jazz vocalist, lyricist and producer, working with the best in the business. She's also curator of the prestigious ReVoice! Festival that opened its doors last night in London, bringing together a kaleidoscope of music from around the world
  • Gregory Porter is in the UK. Gregory's Birmingham show was very well received and his two shows at Pizza Express Jazz Club, London tonight and tomorrow as part of ReVoice! Festival are sold out. I'll post reviews on the blog - expect them to be 5*
  • Great news! Anthony Strong's EP 'Delovely' made the top spot in the Amazon jazz download charts less than a week after it was released
  • Charlese Allen is through to the Big Audition Top 10! She and the nine other finalists get a masterclass with Jamie Cullum! Public voting will re-open on October 17th
  • Jamie's radio show will be broadcast for the first time in France on TSF Jazz this Sunday at 11am
  • I dusted off my review of Jamie Cullum in Paris last year
  • For this week's recommendation, take a listen to jazz singer Emma Smith who is only 20 but has already had amazing success. Look out for her debut album coming soon
Don't miss:
  • Jamie is of course in Bath tomorrow, along with the Silver Ring Choir for a charity concert. Check the blog for all the news from that show
  • On Jamie's BBC Radio 2 show this Tuesday is American Jazz Bassist Charlie Haden
  • If you are in London over the next week or so, ReVoice! Festival is the place to be. Phone for tickets on 0845 6027 017
  • Also in London from October 14th is Joe Simpson's art exhibition featuring a portrait of Jamie. Details here
  • Sophie Dahl is at the Thame Arts & Literary Festival on October 15th
