Jazz Standards Part 9: Pure Imagination

Another dip into this cover series with Pure Imagination, a song written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley for Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, released in 1971.

Included on Momentum is Jamie Cullum's gorgeous version of the song, which has enjoyed a huge boost this week following its use by the BBC on the Wimbledon highlights following Andy Murray's win.

Not a jazz standard but now Jamie has given the song new life, maybe it will become such one day as more musicians cover it too!

Enjoy these versions from Anthony Newley, Gene Wilder and Jamie Cullum.
